Together, we rued and mocked
our city’s varied landscape
so cluttered and crowded
all evening on that lovely terrace, our escape
over many a sunset, in glistening hues of red.
Together, our eyes met and spoke
in fleeting moments to evoke
our bottled passions myriad
then, our spirits could die hard
as nights for days longed.
Today, time in its grandeur
throws a volley for my memory
that scene of turmoil and sweet surrender
on a day almost perfect and merry
a summer, I shall always remember.
Time sometimes seems to tease
echoing loudly all our whispers
through the long bike rides and soft breeze
our notes, gifts and other secrets
all that we cherish we’d never want to release.
Looking back again this February
I know I am as strong as Time
So full of love is my memory
A treasure trove forever mine
I never really lost my Valentine!

Everpresent immersed in me
is my valentine -- melting from within
and engulfing from without -- forever and
forever is my valentine.
Whole lanscape and creation
merges into my valentine;
We become one -- going beyond
mere mundane space and time.

Beautiful, Sunanda.
The romantic poem as well as the sunset scene.
