Peas Pomagranate Pulao

This is a pulao, I came across on a buffet lunch. Tried it at home as the ingredients were rather obvious. It tastes fresh, aromatic and is easy to make. It’s a good choice if you want to serve an attractive dish, for the natural colours of the fresh green peas and the fluorescent ruby red of the fruit seeds turn the simple white rice, a feast for the eyes!

You need :

2  cups raw rice cooked

1cup fresh green peas cooked

1 med. Sized pomegranate seeds

2 slit green chillies

a slice of ginger

4 minced garlic

1 small cardamom seed

a thin cinnamon bark

1 clove

1 spoon green fennel seeds

2 tbsp refined oil

Method:

Heat the oil . Add the spices, ginger, garlic and the chillies. After it gets transluscent add the cooked peas . Mix. Now get in the cooked rice along with the salt to taste and mix again. Cool. Garnish with the pomegranate seeds.

PS : Do not re heat it after the garnish, lest the fruit gets drained of its colour.
